How to calculate your net worth
A step-by-step guide you can follow on paper.
Monnex calculates your net worth, called Wealth in the app, as assets minus debts: accounts and cash, savings, property, business, investments, crypto, money owed to you and your loans. The figure keeps its composition and history, so you can see what changed it. Money for everyday spending is shown separately as “Available now”.

Composition
Assets are everything that has a value for you: card and cash balances, savings and deposits, property, a business share, investments and crypto, and money other people owe you. Debts are loans, a mortgage, credit cards and personal debts. Monnex subtracts every debt once.

Two numbers
“Available now” answers the everyday question — how much money can I use today — and includes cards and cash. Wealth answers the long-term one — what am I worth — and includes everything, minus debts.
Keeping them apart means a flat or a deposit never makes the monthly budget look bigger than it is, and a card payment never looks like a loss of wealth.
