Multi-currency expense tracker with National Bank of Ukraine rates

Monnex supports 21 currencies, and every account keeps its own currency, so hryvnias, dollars and euros are never mixed without a rate. Totals are converted at dated National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) rates, and you can set a manual rate instead. A currency exchange between your accounts keeps both amounts and the actual rate.

How accounts in different currencies work

Create an account in the currency it really holds: a hryvnia card, a dollar savings account, euros in cash. Operations on it are recorded in that currency. Totals on Home and in Wealth are converted at the NBU rate for the date, so yesterday’s figure does not jump because of today’s rate.

  • A currency exchange is one operation with two amounts and the rate you actually got.
  • If you need your own rate, set it manually.
  • Spending in another currency is shown separately in the budget and not mixed into the limit.
