Savings goal tracker that follows your real accounts

A goal in Monnex has an amount, a currency and an optional date, and it is funded from the accounts, investments or assets you link to it. Progress is the current value of those sources, so you never set money aside twice. Monnex shows how much is left and, from your usual contributions, when you are likely to reach the goal.

How it works

How a savings goal works

Instead of moving money into a virtual piggy bank, you link the goal to where the money really is: a savings account, a deposit, a brokerage account or another asset. When their value changes, the goal’s progress changes with it.

  • An emergency fund, a holiday, a down payment — as many goals as you need.
  • Spending from a linked account lowers the progress honestly — the goal always shows what is really there.
  • The goal shows the amount left and an estimated date from your usual contributions.

Step by step

How to set up a savings goal

  1. Name the goal

For example “Emergency fund” or “Holiday”.

  2. Set the amount

The target amount, its currency and, if you want, a date.

  3. Link the sources

The accounts, investments or assets that hold the money for it.

  4. Watch the progress

It updates as the linked balances change.

Facts

Goals in brief

  • Free, with no count limits: recording operations, quick entry, the bot, any number of accounts in 21 currencies, categories, budgets with alerts, goals, wealth with history, reminders and summaries, CSV/XLSX export and the first statement import.

Questions

Questions about goals

How many goals can I have?

As many as you need. Goals are part of Free, without a count limit.

Do I need a separate savings account?

It helps, but it is not required. Progress follows whatever you link: an account, a deposit, investments or an asset.

Can a goal be in dollars or euros?

Yes. A goal has its own currency, and amounts in other currencies are converted at dated National Bank of Ukraine rates, as everywhere in Monnex.

How much should I save each month?

Divide what is left by the months until the date. Monnex shows what is left and an estimated date based on how you have been contributing so far.
