Accounts
Each account in the file is matched to a Monnex account or created as a new one, its type guessed from the name: card, cash, savings. Two different accounts from the file never silently end up in one; that takes an explicit merge.
Export your data from the old app to CSV and upload the file to Monnex: Settings → Import → «Move over from another app», or just send it to the bot @monnex_bot. In the preview you match accounts and categories, see possible duplicates and only then import. Moving over from Monefy, 1Money or Spendee is always free, as many times as you need, no Premium required.
Updated
Step by step
Monefy: Settings → Export to file → CSV. 1Money: data export to CSV in the app settings. Spendee: export to CSV from the settings in the web version.
Settings → Import → «Move over from another app». Or send the file to the bot @monnex_bot; it opens the same preview.
Match each account from the file to a Monnex account or create it as a new one. Categories with the same name are picked up, the rest are created.
Look at the flagged possible duplicates and confirm. If something went wrong, the import can be reverted within 30 days.
What comes over
Each account in the file is matched to a Monnex account or created as a new one, its type guessed from the name: card, cash, savings. Two different accounts from the file never silently end up in one; that takes an explicit merge.
They come over one to one: a category with the same name is used, missing ones are marked «Will be created». If you already have a similar one, Monnex suggests it and you can merge with one tap: «Merge with similar».
A transfer between your accounts stays a transfer, not an expense plus an income. A transfer between accounts in different currencies becomes an exchange, with both amounts taken from the file.
If you already track in Monnex, operations that look like existing ones are flagged in the preview, and you decide what to import.
Where you come from
| Where to get the file | What happens in Monnex | |
|---|---|---|
| Monefy | Settings → Export to file → CSV | «Move over from another app» or send the file to the bot; accounts, categories, transfers and exchanges in the preview |
| 1Money | App settings → data export to CSV | The same: preview, matching accounts and categories, flagged duplicates |
| Spendee | Web version → settings → export to CSV | The same: preview, matching accounts and categories, flagged duplicates |
From any of these three apps, moving over is free as many times as you need. Of bank statements, the first is free and every further one is Premium.

In Monefy open Settings → Export to file and choose CSV. Upload the file to Monnex or send it to the bot @monnex_bot.
No. Transfers between your accounts are recognised as transfers, and a transfer between accounts in different currencies becomes an exchange with both amounts from the file.
A category with the same name is reused. A similar one is suggested and can be merged with one tap; new categories are marked «Will be created».
Yes, within 30 days. Categories the import created that nothing else uses are archived when you revert it.
The file is stored encrypted only for the import and deleted as soon as it is finished (or after 7 days). Monnex never asks for a bank password.
